☘️ Green, ovate and toothed. The leaves turn orange, pink or red before falling in Autumn.

🌷 Beautiful displays of white five-petalled flowers with golden yellow stamens. Flowering in Early Spring. Other cherry species may produce pink or purple blossoms.

🪓 Wild Cherry bark is smooth and purplish-brown, with prominent horizontal grey-brown raised pores running along the trunk when young. In older trees, the bark becomes thick, fissured and dark blackish-brown.

🍏 Cherries form on the tree in late summer. Cherries are usually shiny and red, but black and yellow varieties can sometimes be found.

👀 Wild Cherry is relatively easy to identify, especially when in flower, or in fruit. The beautiful cherry blossom flowers and leter the hanging red cherries are the key identifiers of this tree.
👃 The sweet, almondy fragrance of cherry blossom is also a key identifier.

⛔️ With the exception of the flesh of the cherry itself, all parts of the Wild Cherry Tree, including the cherry seeds, are mildly toxic, and shouldn't be eaten.
